RSV Symptoms
Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is a common respiratory virus that usually causes mild, cold-like symptoms that can easily be confused with other respiratory illnesses. There are cases that can lead to more severe illnesses. Dr. Tejada and the staff can confirm RSV with a rapid molecular test so you can have confidence knowing your symptoms are caused by a virus that will usually run its course.
We can confirm if you have RSV while you are here at our office with a Rapid Test.
In very young patients and infants it may be increased irritability and decreased activity due to breathing difficulties.
Common Symptoms of RSV
- Mild, cold-like symptoms in the nose, throat and sinuses
- Fevers
- Chills
- Cough
- Sneezing
- Runny Nose
- Decrease in appetite
- Wheezing
FLU Symptoms
It is important to get timely and accurate testing and diagnosis for the appropriate treatment. Rapid tests help Dr. Tejada and the staff more quickly identify the cause. Many respiratory illnesses have common symptoms but require different treatment.
